Per un museo di scienze naturali
Visual Communication
Research project for Bachelor’s Thesis Bozen-Bolzano, 2019
Supported by the Natural History Museum of Bozen-Bolzano
Project under the Bachelor Design and Art, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano
The project is a temporary installation created for the Night of Research at the Natural History Museum of Bolzano. It emerged from collaboration with the museum’s biology and education departments.
Focusing on the sphagnum squarrosum, a natural element from the moss family, the exhibit explores the role of natural objects and examines how museum communication strategies and spatial design interact. The presentation features a circular, episodic structure that showcases the sphagnum squarrosum through various displays, including videos, explanatory models, graphics, and technical instruments. This approach highlights the moss’s characteristics from micro to macro, or vice versa.
