“Copy&Paste” is an experimental project that explores the practice of copy/paste, specifically using MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard). This project questions why people replicate existing materials instead of creating new aesthetics. It suggests that our reliance on familiar materials stems from their inherited meanings and associations.
By engraving a wooden pattern into MDF, this project demonstrates that copying materials is not just about imitation but also about infusing ordinary materials with new social and emotional value. Through this process, MDF is transformed, gaining significance and depth through its new, engraved wooden appearance.
